I ordered two of these for my son and his wife. They have a daughter and are expecting the son. We came across our granddaughters baby book the other day and my daughter-in-law commented how she basically wasn’t able to keep up with it. I smiled, knowing that is not uncommon, and that my own children’s baby books stopped at a certain point because I was too busy being a mom. The alternative was that I would write my children letters when I would have some free time and then seal them . This to me was the perfect solution to both having a baby book and freely sharing my thoughts and feelings with my children. I wish I would’ve thought of this back then. What a great idea! Expected the letters on the leather cover to be stamped. Instead, they were printed which won't likely last a year, much less 18 years.
Thank you for your review of our Letters To My Little Boy Journal, David. We appreciate your feedback and apologize for any disappointment with the printed cover technique but we do believe the lettering should be able to hold up for the long haul!
The lettering is printed, but uses a special technique with a hardened material on top of the print to help it keep its vibrant appearance and increases the printing durability. We use this same printing technique on wallets and those see a lot of wear and tear, so a journal that is loved and well-kept should definitely last as a keepsake to pass onto your recipient!

I got this for my son and his wife so they can journal about their 14 month old son. I kept a journal about my son and gave it to his wife at their rehearsal dinner. So many sweet and funny memories! They loved it.
